April 22nd is Earth Day.  Earth Day is celebrated world wide and is a day set aside to  demonstrate support for environmental protection.  Biology Club is sponsoring a contest to help celebrate Earth Day.  Throughout the school the club members have placed questions about Earth Day.  The first person to collect the piece of paper with the question, and bring that paper to Mrs. Houtz's room with the correct answer to the question will win a prize.  One prize per student please.  Biology Club members may stop by Mrs. Houtz's room any time throughout the day to collect a tasty treat in celebration of Earth Day. 

 

 JH Band 7/8 combined rehearsal during 7th hour on Friday April 23 and during 8th hour on Tues. the 27th.

Congratulations to all of these students for going above and beyond to work on these solos and small ensembles outside of class time, overcome all of this year's obstacles and record and upload a video submission.  I also want to thank Gina Miller for accompanying all of our soloists this year.

 

 

COUNSELOR:  

Anyone interested in taking the CNA Summer Class through Highland stop by Ms. Busch's or Mrs. Behren's office.

 

Anyone taking Speech this summer or any Concurrent/Online class this fall will need to get registered through Highland.  Please, check your emails that have been coming from Ms. Busch on instructions for the enrollment process or stop by her office to have questions answered.

 

On May 6th we will be having a Mental Health Mini Fair for all students 7-12.  There will be a Guest Speaker and then additional sessions that students will be able to attend.  

In the morning we will be having the Senior Signing to be followed by the Mini Fair.  We plan on wrapping things by the end of 4th hour.  

 

Senior Scholastic Recognition Night will be May 13th in the Auditorium at 7:00p.m.
