Activity Meeting: There will be a Hispanic Heritage Club fiesta to celebrate the Day of the Dead on Monday, November 2nd at 4:00pm. It is open to all club members and will be held in the school cafeteria/stadium driveway. ¡Mucha comida y una piñata!

COUNSELOR:
Deadline to register for the December ACT is November 20th
New CNA class for the Western Center in Baileyville. This class will be November 2nd to November 30th. Every Monday and Tuesday from 4-9p.m.
Any students who will be taking Concurrent courses or Online courses through Highland can now enroll. Spring 2021 Online Enrollment is open. If you need assistance, please visit with Ms. Busch. Do not wait until the last minute to enroll or pay for courses.
Login to myHCC to begin the enrollment process.
Mrs. Behrens and Ms. Busch met with all Seniors last week to discuss college enrollment, FAFSA, and scholarships. Please, advise us if you need additional information. Print off local scholarship listings.
Ray Kruse will be available via Zoom to discuss how to start the FAFSA process on Oct. 28th at 7:00p.m. This is to receive information regarding Free Federal Financial Aid. If students/parents would like to participate, please let Ms. Busch know, so that an invitation can be made.
Any student in grades 7-12 that has engaged in a volunteer activity can complete an application for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Application information available in Ms. Busch's Office.
Any Juniors or Seniors interested in applying for the 2020 State Masonic Public Essay Contest can stop by Ms. Busch's Office for application information. Deadline to apply is Nov. 1st

In case anyone was wanting information on the December ACT. The closest locations are Sabetha and Frankfort.
Community In Schools:
For the parents: continue to reach out to Mrs. Crome with any needs you are facing (job loss, food, housing, etc). There are SEVERAL organizations with CARES Act money that needs to be spent.
For our teachers: Mrs. Houtz is doing a craft class on November 9th at her store. You can register at kimskottage.com. The Blue Valley Giving Tree program is accepting applications until November 13th.
