USD 364 - 2020 Summer Training COVID Prevention Strategies

USD 364 Admin / Facility policies

*Please remember that any of the following information is subject to change at any time based on the recommendations or requirements of the groups listed above.

Facility Guidelines

We will follow all recommended directions based on plans set in place by each of the previous organizations.

  • Participation numbers will be at or below the recommended level throughout all phases.

    • No more than 15 during “Phase 2”

      • We will split groups accordingly and allow time between sessions

    • No more than 45 during “Phase 3” - We will tentatively begin Phase 3 on June 8th

    • Beginning with “Phase Out” - Athletes will no longer have assigned sessions.

      • This date will be announced later (State/County currently has it as June 22)

  • ALL participants MUST ENTER the North Activity Center Doors.  *May leave through any door.

  • Locker rooms WILL NOT be available.

  • Groups and work stations are assigned until further notice.

Each group will have their own equipment (nothing shared)

Groups are to use ONLY the items at their station.

Common items (DB, Water fountains, cardio items) are “closed” until further notice.

  • All items will be sanitized after each use.

Each station will have its own sanitizing materials.

  • All social distancing recommendations will be met.

  • Attendance will be kept diligently to trace contacts in the event of individual illness.

  • ONLY High School Athletes will be allowed to use the facilities at this time.

    • Info regarding Junior High, qualified alumni, and staff use will be shared when available.

Recommendations for participating athletes -

  • Athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles (keep at station).

Common water fountains are NOT to be used until further notice.

  • Athletes are encouraged to use the restroom BEFORE arriving.

Using common / shared restrooms is highly discouraged.

  • Athletes are encouraged to shower and put on clean clothes before attending a summer session.

It is also highly recommended that the athlete shower and change clothes after as well.

  • Athletes are encouraged to actively monitor their health!

If the athlete is displaying ANY ill symptoms of ANY TYPE - please stay home!

  • Athletes are encouraged to practice positive hygiene behaviors at all times!

  • Athletes are highly encouraged NOT to travel until we enter “Phase Out”

Those who choose to do so are encouraged to wait a week before returning.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RECOMMENDATIONS COULD RESULT IN INDIVIDUALS OR THE GROUP AS A WHOLE LOSING THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING BACK IN THE FACILITY!
