On April 16th and 17th, 8th and 10th graders, Computer Programming students and Ag Structure students participated in the FutureMaker Learning Lab. The FutureMaker Learning Lab is held in a 40 foot trailer which holds designated classrooms. Students are able to use virtual equipment to become more aware about different careers. This lab allows students to experience hands-on, interactive learning in high fields of demand. This is brought to them through technology. Students will experience actual and virtual tools that are used in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers. Some of the virtual tools are:
- Welders that simulate metal repair.
- A virtual painter is available to get a sense of automotive commercial coating, and tools that are used in the making of aircraft.
- Space 3D computers that allow students to virtually dissect, build and explore STEM topics in advanced 3D.
Overall the FutureMaker lab was very fun and inforamtional.
